I’m a wildlife and nature photographer based in Wiltshire in the heart of SW England — a county that punches well above its weight for accessible wildlife, from the chalk downlands of Salisbury Plain to the wetlands of the Somerset Levels on my doorstep.
My photography is primarily field-based. I work mainly with birds ; from common garden species to more elusive subjects like Bittern, Kingfisher and raptors in flight. I also look for images of British mammals and occasional landscape work when the conditions are right.
I shoot with Nikon Z system cameras and a range of lenses suited to the unpredictability of wildlife — zooms for flexibility in the field, longer primes when the situation allows a more considered approach.
In June 2025 I was awarded the Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS), a distinction awarded for demonstrating consistent technical and creative competence across a cohesive panel of work.
If you’d like to discuss any of the images you see here, I’m always happy to hear from fellow enthusiasts.
